Modern Decorating With Cow Rugs-Care of a Cowhide Rug

The best ways to create the most pleasing environment for your home is through the use of the right decor and decorations. One option, when it comes to an eye catching rug, are cowhide rugs.
These rugs are ideal for just about every room in your home. This is because a cowhide rug is durable, attractive and highly versatile. This allows you to use this type of a rug in various ways and thus enhance the overall style of your home.

What You Will Need to Care of a Cowhide Rug

-A vacuum cleaner with a suitable brush attachment
-Hard-bristled brush (an old fashioned scrubbing brush is ideal)
-A soft cleaning soap
-A normal household sponge
-Scotch Guard or a similar fabric protector
-A steam cleaner (such as a Vaporetto) will help to get deep inside the fur and clean the rug to the -maximum effect.
Step One

Having bought your cowhide rug and installed it in your home you must ensure you vacuum it regularly to prevent your cowhide rug becoming heavily soiled and so avoid unnecessary deep cleaning. Make use of your vacuum's brush attachment to clean the fur in the direction of its natural 'grain'.You need to do this while gently drawing out dust and other grime contaminants. By doing this every week you will ensure that gritty pieces of dirt will not start to cut the fur from the hide. A good old-fashioned beating of the rug outdoors will also shake out embedded contaminants.

Step Two

Don't soak the rug when cleaning, however, you can gently steam clean it with no negative after effects. The fur within the hide is of course made up of tanned (to preserve the protein of the skin) animal material. Fur hides repel water and damp and so keep the animal relatively dry. If when cleaning the hide it gets too moist, then go outdoors and naturally dry the hide under the sun. This also has the effect of killing any bacteria or germs that may be in the hair.

Step Three

Remove dirt spots with a non-alkaline cleansing soap. Leather soaps will work with stains on a smooth fur-free hide, but when fur is involved then baby shampoo or mild detergent gently scrubbed into foam when cleaning is much better for hides with hair. Apply the soapy froth to a sponge and then gently wipe the hide in direction of the grain. Finally thoroughly rinse with a moist sponge to get rid of any shampoo residue left in the fur.

Step Four

Use Scotch Guard or a similar fabric protector well before your cowhide rug becomes stained and after you have just cleaned it as this will help the fur to repel further stains and so keep your valuable and beautiful cow hide rug in a pristine condition.

Great Ideas To Create Your Grocery List

You NEED a grocery list when shopping and if you do not have one, you might as well not even go.
How many times have you returned from the grocery store with more items (that were not on your list) than the items you actually needed?
Grocery List Saves money.Saves time. Shopping with a grocery list, directs you to each item.
Here are some tips to get you started:
At home
First  Print it and then Laminate it.
You are welcome to print My Fridge List .
Second  attach it to your refrigerator with magnets.

Keep a pad of paper on your refrigerator Or your wall and when you think of something you need,  put it on the list. That means by the time it is time to get groceries again, you have a pretty good idea of what you need.

Meal plan. At the beginning of the week (or whenever it is convenient), I make a list of all the ingredients needed to make the meals I have on the meal plan. This is what I call intentional cooking. Having specific meals planned, doesn't cause stress at 5:00 wondering what's for dinner. I know I will have the ingredients I need for the meal and am ready to make whatever is on the menu for the night. This also prevents me from buying items that I have no use for or no recipe to use them in.

For example Menu for the Week

Lunch Menu:
(We like to add fruit and/or carrots to any of these “entrees”)
Pasta  (my kids love it)
Macaroni and cheese
Vegetarian corn dogs
Vegetarian hamburgers
Hot dogs

Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches
Whole wheat toast
Yogurt or cheese sticks, crackers

In supermarkets
Start off your grocery list by starting it the minute you walk through the door with your groceries from the week. That is where your "running grocery list" is vital in your household.

Best Kitchen drawers Organization-How to organize kitchen drawers?

Every kitchen has kitchen utensils that need to be organized at one point or another.
Organizing the kitchen drawers is an important aspect to consider to make your kitchen as efficient as possible and to avoid clutter collecting on the work surfaces.

Most people normally just shove all their various pieces of equipment and cutlery in a haphazard fashion into the drawers.

You can use one drawer for all your flatware while another drawer could be earmarked for spoon and fork and yet another drawer for the larger cooking utensils and so on.

:Keep your drawers clean

One of the reasons why most kitchens are cluttered up is the stuff that you no longer use.
If you are no longer using them, or have already replaced them, you can donate these kitchen wares.

After removing your unused stuff, you should see to it that your drawers are always organized.

Classify the items so it will be easy for you to find the kitchen utensils. If you have taken one item from the drawer, make sure that you return them after using.Failing to do so will let you have the tendency to randomly throw your kitchen utensils in the cabinet or drawer.
Start with the drawer closest to the kitchen stove
In this one you will want to put the following items; oven mitts, hot plates, trivets and hot plates.
Spoons and forks in separate places in the drawer
The next drawer closest to the stove needs to contain all the cooking tools.Items you should put in here include serving spoons, ladles, wooden spoons and a small chopping board.

Do you do much baking?
If so, then dedicate a drawer to your baking equipment.Items such as rolling pin, sifter, basting brush and wire whisks all go in this one.Or Counter top cooking utensil storage.

Kitchen drawers and pull out mechanisms are far more ergonomically friendly than cupboards as the necessity of having to bend down and search at the back of an under bench cupboard are alleviated.Incorporating them into your kitchen design is very worth

Vertical organizer racks

They are awesome for everything.
Serving trays, cutting boards,Glassware,Pyrex , baking dishes, muffin tins ,pie plates
and sheet pans.

Magnetic strips are available in kitchen stores.

Update your kitchen style
Now this does not mean that you have to spend vast amounts of money by replacing your old kitchen items with new ones. This only means that you can incorporate style into kitchen organization.
